Shining Light Ministries alcohol and drug treatment home
Opening a pathway to recovery and freedom for women
whose lives have been ruined by addictions and low self worth
Shining Light House
Shining Light Ministries is a 12-month residential program with two facilities treating addicts and alcoholics. This non-profit organization effectively works with women to face the difficulties in a biblical manner and prepare them to begin a new life without the bondages they had previously.

Alcoholism and drug addiction are progressive diseases, and unless the user stops completely, the disease will worsen in severity over time.  The intensity of this progression varies considerably and while some people may use for many years before things get noticably worse, they ultimately always do.

Are you weary and brokenhearted? Are you ready to be transformed into a woman who has found her security and peace in Jesus? Let us help you. "Come to me all who are weary and I shall give you rest." Matthew 11:28

Shocking facts about drug and alcohol addiction

Youth who drink alcohol are 50 times more likely to use cocaine than those who never drink alcohol.

Chronic meth abusers experience side effects that can include extremely violent behavior, anxiety, confusion, and insomnia. The paranoia can result in homicidal as well as suicidal thoughts.

Among current adult drinkers, more than half say they have a blood relative who is or was an alcoholic or problem drinker. Prolonged, heavy use of alcohol can lead to addiction. Sudden cessation of long term, extensive alcohol intake is likely to produce withdrawl symptoms, including severe anxiety, tremors, hallucinations, convulsions and wet brain.

  • 95% never ask for help
